Represent - 247 Arc-1 Runner
Represent has been a brand that has caught my eye recently through some of their projects with END. From what I've seen, they have a great rotation of shoes & are honestly pretty comfy as well. This specific pair is part of their running/active series that is designed for everyday wear, as well as your running needs too. After a few laps in these, I wanted to put together a brief overview of them.
Upper: the upper of this sneaker is a breathable white mesh with cutouts on the toe box & near mid foot for added breathability. On the mudguard, there's a sturdy TPU panel for added protection. As you move to the midfoot, there's a TPU panel in the shape of Represent's 'R' logo (favorite feature) that also acts as the eyelet for the design & is reversed on the medial side. As you move to the back heel, there's a TPU panel that's very smooth to touch and has the 247 logo on the outer & Represent branding on the medial side as well. Moving to the tongue, they used a lightly padded & perforated mesh with more 247 branding. && Lastly, on the sockliner they raised the heel & added a very soft material on the sockliner, which gives it a comfy/soft & locked in/controlled feeling on foot when moving.
Comfort/Sizing: these have a supportive & plush feeling right out of the box, but after 1 wear, the plush feeling of the midsole really began to feel nice, but not overly squishy where it feels unstable. The midsole has a tilt forward feature that feels really nice while running as well & given that this is a very light shoe, it performs pretty well. For sizing, I'd recommend going up a half size. I went US 8.5 (half up) and they fit great.
If you're looking to pick up a pair of these, they are available online on their website, as well as on END's shop as well in other colorways. I may end up dying this pair just for fun though since I have some rit dye that's been waiting for the right shoe to come thru
